Some autobiographical thoughts:
I was born into a melding pot of artists, nurses, hippies, animal lovers, and cowboys. I feel I truly won the jackpot with my quirky family and am blessed to have their love and support everyday. They give me wings to fly and roots to come back to. Plus, they sure know how to cook for an army, fill a house with laughter, and give damn good hugs.
I’m proud to be a small town girl. I’m from Lind, Washington and grew up in Rifle, Colorado. I graduated high school in Rockwall, Texas and lived in a tent on Maui for a year. In February 2017, I moved back home to the Pacific Northwest after a three year stint on the east coast. I’ve always loved Portland and am happy to be starting a new chapter in this eclectic, beautiful city. The west coast truly is the best coast!
I tend to notice and cherish the small, sweet moments of Life. Walking my dog and doing the dishes are my favorite forms of meditation. If inspiration strikes while I am available, I may take a photo or write about it.
I believe in Divine timing and treating others with tolerance and respect. Manners, honesty and humility go a long way. I’m a doula and I work in healthcare. I’m back to school for nursing and hope to go into Obstetrics or Hospice someday. My friends call me the birth and death doula.
